Asbestos removal is a highly specialised and tricky field of expertise that should only be entrusted to a business that holds the appropriate licence and certification. If you are concerned about asbestos in or around your residential or commercial property, we can help. Here at Asbestos Extraction and Containment Qld, we hold a current class A removal licence for both Friable (A Class), and Non-friable or Bonded (B Class) asbestos removal work.
Residential asbestos removal
What is asbestos?
Asbestos is a heat-resistant, naturally occurring silicate mineral fibre integrated into building materials in Australia and it was widely used between 1940 and 1980. Asbestos might be present in the products used in the construction of your home if it was built before the mid-1980s.
In houses built between the mid-1980s and 1990, it is also likely that asbestos-containing products of some kind or another are present. Homes constructed after 1990 are unlikely to have been constructed using asbestos-containing products.
It is best not to assume whether a product does or does not contain asbestos, and any suspicious material should be sampled and tested to determine if the material in your house does contain asbestos.
Commercial asbestos removal
We are experts in performing large-scale commercial, civil, and industrial asbestos remediation for many large clients. Our commercial, civil, and industrial clients require high levels of compliance to safety management systems and Workplace Health and Safety Acts and Legislation. Here at Asbestos Extraction and Containment Qld, we can assist with overcoming the challenges associated with commercial sites while minimising disruption to other trades.
Asbestos-contaminated soil remediation
We regularly provide site asbestos-remediation solutions for commercial, civil, and industrial clients across Queensland. These can be as simple as the removal of a telecommunication pit to the removal of all redundant asbestos-containing water mains to an urban development. We specialise in asbestos-contaminated soil sites.
When full site remediation is not the most effective way to control asbestos, the material can often be “capped and contained” and managed on-site. Our team can provide all the supervision, labour, machinery, and haulage to complete all types of asbestos removal projects.
